Icons and Such

I can't really get my head around a themed idea for icons, so far I have a speech bubble for new posts in categories and threads, and a speechless bubble for no new activity.

It's hard to work with since they're between 25 and 50 pixels. (they could be bigger)

although right now with 50 pixels, it kind of gets into the words...

I like them, makes sense and understandable at first glance.

We dont need any bigger. To big and it might look gaudy.

Can you make it so we have signatures?

Whats the "..." for?

the other icon was a ... bubble that ment no new posts. the ... actually means a pause in speech. so "..." was giving the reference to that without meaning the pause.

I use that all the time and never realized the true meaning behind. But I use it correct everytime.

I was hoping we could change the icons for the popular threads. I find it annoy to see if it has new posts at just a glace. even if we made the new post envelopes red, that would work.

There is a little red page by your post on the page the writing is when it is new.

but it doesn't help me when I'm just glancing at the page. I would like something obvious if it is possible.
