Character Races.
In the pathfinder bestiary (if we are going to do pathfinder, with a few modified rules) there are a few monsters listed that have rules with them for being a PC race.
listed are:
aasimar (celestial human)
drow (also listed is noble drow, but is pretty high powered)
duergar (underground dwarf)
goblin
hobgoblin
kobold
merfolk
orc
suirfneblin (underground gnome)
tengu (crow humanoid)
tiefling
but there are guidelines in the book on making a different monster into a race, but I don't think we really really need to in most cases.

Re: Character Races.
What stat/skill bonuses do kobolds and suirfneblins get?

Re: Character Races.
Wow, Kobolds get hosed... like there is nothing to make up for the minuses of being a kobold... Unless I would get to be 2 level higher as level adjustment lol jk. But really, being a Kobold is like purposefully breaking your kneecap to run in a marathon. The svirfneblins are pretty good though. I doubt I will use these races though. But thanks for the info Jason, it definitely helped.
